How to choose the outdoor kitchen that's right for you
Choosing the right outdoor kitchen starts with you. How will you use it? Do you enjoy elaborate cooking with a kamado and pizza oven, or quick meals on a gas barbecue? Do you often entertain guests, or is it mainly for the family? How much space do you have, and should the kitchen be fixed in one spot or do you want to be able to move it?
Our experience is that most customers are surprised by how often they end up using their outdoor kitchen. During peak season, several times a week, and even in the off-season, people put on their jackets to cook outdoors because it's simply enjoyable. Good advice beforehand prevents regrets afterwards. We are happy to help you with the layout, the location in your garden, the connections, and the style that suits your home. At Roostr, you receive one-on-one advice in our studio; we take our time with you and design your outdoor kitchen precisely to fit your existing garden.
Frequently asked questions about our outdoor kitchens
What's the average cost of an outdoor kitchen?
A Roostr outdoor kitchen starts from €5,999 for a Rubix Single and can go up to €40,000 or more for an extensive Allure or Wave setup. Most customers invest between €8,000 and €25,000 for a complete setup including appliances and installation. The price depends on the model, size, countertop, and chosen cooking options.
Can an outdoor kitchen be left outside all year round?
Yes. Our outdoor kitchens are designed to be outdoors 365 days a year. The combination of stainless steel, galvanized steel with a three-layer powder coating, and Dekton countertops ensures that your Roostr can withstand rain, frost, wind, and UV radiation. No canopy is needed, although a canopy is nice for extra comfort during intensive use. We always advise what is best for your situation.
What are the dimensions of a Roostr outdoor kitchen?
The Rubix Single measures 76.5 × 75 × 90 to 92 cm. The Allure starts at 140 × 70 × 90 to 98 cm and the Wave at 180 × 70 × 90 to 96 cm. Because our outdoor kitchens are modular, you can expand them with additional modules or add a bar corner. We recommend at least 100 cm of clear space around the kitchen.
Can I integrate my Big Green Egg or Kamado Joe into a Roostr?
Yes. Roostr is universally suitable for all common kamado brands and sizes, including Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe, The Bastard, and Monolith. Integrations are also possible for gas barbecues, Pitt Cooking gas burners, teppanyaki plates, and pizza ovens. You can easily choose the right size using our 3D configurator.
Which worksheet can I choose?
We only offer worktops that are proven suitable for outdoor use: Dekton, Florim and, in exceptional cases, Neolith. All are resistant to sun, rain, frost, heat up to 250 °C, scratches and stains. You can choose from various colours and finishes, from sleek black and concrete look to warm earth tones and marble look.
How long does a Roostr outdoor kitchen last?
With proper maintenance, a Roostr will last 20 years or longer. That's precisely why we choose high-quality materials such as stainless steel and Dekton. You receive a 10-year warranty on materials and construction, 5 years on coating and mechanics, and 5 years on the complete outdoor kitchen.
Is a Roostr modularly expandable?
Yes. Modularity is one of Roostr's core values. You can add an extra module later, replace the worktop, have a refrigerator built in, or even switch from wooden to steel doors. Rubix is also movable on wheels, so you can move the kitchen around your garden. Allure and Wave are also modular but less easy to adapt once installed. If you want to purchase a kitchen that can grow with your needs, we will always recommend Rubix.
Can Roostr install the kitchen for me?
Yes. Our experienced technicians will install the outdoor kitchen and ensure that everything is perfectly level, including connections. If you have a sink and tap, we recommend having a plumber make the connections. Are you unsure about the setup or connections? Then we would be happy to visit you first for a no-obligation consultation at your home.
How do Rubix, Allure, and Wave differ?
Rubix is the modular entry-level model, optionally mobile and available in 2 colours. Allure is more luxurious, with double-walled stainless steel, 15 colours, thickened worktops up to 120 mm, and LED lighting. Wave has organic shapes, 10 colours, and is ideal for those who love soft, natural designs. Each model has its own character, style, and price range. We can advise on what best suits your style, garden, family situation, and cooking preferences.
